SAFETY RULES during the MARTIAL LAW

We live under the conditions of martial law which has been declared by our government since the very first days of the war. Our life is constantly worsening because of shelling, occupation of certain Ukrainian territories, and cruelty of the enemy.
Now Ukraine is attacked by Russian troops 24 hours 7 days a week. Many cities and towns have been ruined, some of them have been razed to the ground. Our hometown Mykolaiv has also suffered greatly from Russian bombs, missiles and shelling. A lot of administrative buildings, educational establishments and private houses have been destroyed.
Our alma mater, Petro Mohyla Black Sea National university has been attacked by the enemy three times. As a result, the main building, Academic Council hall, the library and many classrooms were ruined but fortunately nobody was killed. At present, the whole community of our university – lecturers, professors, students, including its alumni (випускники) - work hard to restore the educational territory and continue the academic process.
Certain safety rules are to be followed to survive in such a dangerous situation. They are as following:
● when you hear the sound of an air alarm, immediately go to the shelter;
● when shelling occurs, mind the rule of “two walls” if you are at home; if you are out of doors, try to find any safe place to hide. It can be any pit, at least. Fall on the ground and cover your head with your hands;
● do not touch any unknown object on the ground or anywhere else: it can blow up. Call the police and prevent other people from touching it;
● do not panic, help elderly or disabled people to overcome these hardships;
● be positive, believe in our victory, stand with Ukraine.
